The band was founded in 1997 when Lord Messir created project named DOMINATION which performed Death Metal. In 1998 Lord Messir decided to change the band's name to Dark Domination because he also chanded the music style to true Black Metal. Since the beginning of all musical activities a lot of musicians were invited to join the band but they left before long. The reasob was not understanding Lord Messir's ideas 100 percent. In 1999 Lodbrok joined the band and until the present he has been a member of Dark Domination.
