Bloodhammer was hellborn in 1997. — Few rehearsal tapes were recorded and first deal for a 10-inch album was made with a finnish label Hostile Regression in the end of 1998. Album was titled as "Ancient Kings" and it was released later as a cd with some extra tracks. — Soon after the recording of "Monastery of Thousand Blackened Lusts" in 1999 the drummer left the band for some personal reasons. Hammering continued with the current line-up ever since.
